STUDY : 1990 - CONSTRUCTION : 2001
The architects had to restore and supplement an extant one floor old built-stone building which consists of two parts. In one of the two parts there was an old floor which collapsed in the earthquake in 1955-56, but no marks were saved with the exact morphological characteristics. With today’s restoration that floor was added again in the place which existed. The ground floor was made to be used in day zone. In the rest part which was lower a guest room was created. The floor was made in night zone. It’s a traditional building in a shape of Γ with elements of the area, roof, wooden windows, traditional openings. In the whole building new materials on traditional elements of the area were tried to be installed, in order to make them not only respectful but also modern and not copied.
